Description

The National Westminster Bank, located on the west side of High Street, is an early 19th-century building constructed of red brick with stone dressings. It stands four stories tall and features three windows set within moulded stone architraves. The ground floor is rusticated and has modern glass. On the first and second floors, there are four giant Ionic pilasters, complemented by two Doric pilasters at the corners, which support an entablature. The building is topped with a cornice and parapet. It is part of a group that includes The George Hotel and Nos. 62 to 70 on the same street.
