Description
Red House Farmhouse is a farmhouse built in the late 17th century, with some 20th-century alterations. It is constructed of brick and features a pantile roof, with two gable stacks and a single ridge stack. The gables are brick coped and include kneelers. The building has four bays and is two stories high.
The off-centre doorway is framed with a moulded brick surround and hood, leading to a 20th-century glazed door. On the south side, there is a single window, while the north side has two windows, all of which are segment-headed, two-light sliding casements. Above these, there are three additional two-light sliding casements at the eaves, and a window above the door that is painted to create an illusion. At the rear, there is a 20th-century extension designed in a pseudo-vernacular style.
