Description
The Almshouses are a group of four almshouses, now functioning as a house, built around 1890. They are constructed of red brick with some applied timber framing and feature a hipped slate roof adorned with barge boards and three tall ridge stacks with brick copings. The building is single storey with an eight-bay front, where the second and seventh bays project and are topped with gables filled with timber framing. There is a plinth at the base.
On the left side, there is a doorway with a partially glazed door. To the right of this doorway, there is a three-light casement window with a transom. Further along, there is another doorway with a glazing bar door, followed by two three-light casements with single transoms. Another doorway with a glazing bar door follows, along with a three-light casement with a transom to the right. There is also a doorway that has been blocked with brick. All the doorways feature triangular heads.
