Description
Adam Bede's Cottage is a modest 18th century cottage that has undergone some later alterations and features a modern porch. It is constructed of ashlar and consists of two storeys with a slate roof. The cottage is associated with the author George Eliot and her novel "Adam Bede." It was the home of Elizabeth Evans, who was George Eliot's aunt and served as the inspiration for the character Dinah Morris in the novel.
