Description

No. 14 Kirkgate is a building dating from the 18th century or early 19th century. It is constructed of hammer-dressed stone and features a pitched slate roof. The building stands three storeys tall and has a modern shop front. There are four ranges of sash windows, with the eastern range set back slightly over a segmental archway that was formerly a carriage entrance to a yard. The entrance is adorned with a wooden doorcase that has Tuscan columns and a segmental pediment.
