Description
Nos 55 and 57 Wooldale Road are a pair of houses that likely date from the 17th century or early 18th century, although they have been significantly altered over time. The walls are rendered, which hides many original features. The houses have a steeply pitched stone slate roof with two gable stacks. The gables have chamfered copings supported by carved kneelers. The buildings are two storeys high and feature two central doorways, though the details of these doorways are obscured. There are altered window openings on both the left and right sides, and one chamfered opening is visible on the first floor to the right. The rear elevation includes five 2-light chamfered openings, some of which have also been altered.
