Description

Nos 35 and 37 on Dunford Road are large detached houses built in the mid-19th century. They feature an ashlar front with quoins and a hipped slate roof. The eaves have a moulded cornice with a blocking course, and there is an ashlar stack with a moulded cornice. The houses are arranged in a three-bay by three-bay configuration, with a single bay extension of the same style on the east side. A moulded sill band runs along the first floor. On the west elevation, the central bay projects slightly forward. The central doorway is adorned with a semi-circular fanlight and a panelled door, supported by Doric engaged columns that hold up a full entablature and blocking course. The windows are slender sashes with glazing bars.
