Description
Wood Nook Farmhouse is a mid-19th century farmhouse constructed from coursed, squared sandstone with a stone slate roof. The building has two storeys and three bays. The doorways, located between the bays, feature part-glazed doors set in ashlar surrounds with chamfered, Tudor-arched lintels. Each bay on both floors has a three-light double-chamfered window with old casements that include horizontal glazing bars. The farmhouse also has stone gutter brackets and tabled stone end stacks, with a ridge stack positioned to the right of the center. At the rear, there are two buttresses and some sash windows with glazing bars, along with a first-floor sill band. This farmhouse is well-preserved and is part of the Wentworth Castle estate.
