Description
This stable and barn, located approximately 20 metres northeast of The Elms, was built in 1827. It is constructed of brick and features a pantile roof. The building is two storeys high and has five bays, arranged symmetrically. The central entrance consists of a board door set beneath a segmental header arch, with pairs of slit vents on either side. On the first floor, there is a slit vent above the door, with a datestone above it, flanked by two pitching hatches that retain their original frames, along with later single-pane sliding sashes. The building has stepped eaves and brick-coped, tumbled gables. Inside, the stable is located to the left with a first floor above it, while the barn on the right is open to the roof.
