Description
Holly House is a house dated 1814, built of brick in Flemish bond with a pantile roof. The layout features a two-room central staircase and a continuous outshut. The building stands two storeys high and has three symmetrical bays. It is accessed by stone steps leading to a panelled door with a plain overlight, set within a Doric doorcase that includes pilasters, a plain entablature, and a hood. The windows are 16-pane flush sashes, with those on the ground floor featuring stucco flat arches and all having stucco cills. On the first floor, there is a central dummy window that is plastered with glazing bars in relief. The eaves cornice is stepped and cogged, and the gables are brick coped and tumbled. The house has end stacks.
