Description
This stable and granary, located approximately 20 metres north-east of Chapel Farmhouse, dates from the late 18th century to early 19th century. It is constructed of brick and features a pantile roof. The building has a symmetrical front facing south towards the farmhouse, with two storeys and three bays. The central entrance consists of a plank stable door set beneath a segmental brick arch. To the right, there is a recessed square panel flanked by vertical breathers, while the left side has a blocked opening also flanked by breathers. On the first floor, there are three similar recessed panels alternating with breathers. The building is topped with a stepped and dentilled brick eaves cornice, and the gables are brick coped and tumbled. There is a single-storey range adjoining to the right, which was derelict at the time of the resurvey and is of no special interest.
