Description

This is a medieval bridge located approximately 70 metres north of the nave of the Thornton Abbey Church ruins. It is constructed of ashlar structural masonry with an earth-covered roadway. The bridge features twin arches with a tunnel vault, measuring about 3 metres across and 6 metres wide. The western side has round-headed chamfered arches, while the eastern side has plain arches.
