Description

The Lock Keeper's Office, located 3 meters east of the Hydraulic Accumulator Tower in Grimsby, was built between 1849 and 1852 for the Grimsby Dock Company. This single-storey structure is octagonal in shape and constructed from red brick in English bond, topped with a slate roof.

The exterior features a plain door and single windows on three adjacent southern sides and the north-east side, all consisting of four panes and set beneath cambered brick arches with stone sills. The roof has a low pitch and overhanging eaves.

The interior has not been inspected. The building is situated next to the Hydraulic Accumulator Tower, overlooking the locks to the Royal Dock and the Dock Tower.
