Description
Nos 94 and 96 Walkergate are a pair of cottages built around 1780. They are two storeys high with an attic, constructed from red brick. The cottages have a gable end roof covered with pantiles and feature ridge end stacks. There is a wooden eaves board supported by paired brackets, and one gabled dormer. The gable end displays tumbled brickwork. No 94 has two windows, while No 96 has one. All windows are hung sashes with glazing bars, and there are gauged brick flat painted arches above the ground floor windows. The doorway of No 96 has plain pilasters, while No 94 has a wood surround only, with both doorways featuring rectangular fanlights and panelled doors. The cottages have been recently restored.
