Description

The Monument to Queen Victoria is located on an island site at the junction with Promenade in Southport. It was completed in 1903 and designed by George Frampton, a Royal Academician. The monument features a white granite plinth supporting a large bronze statue of Queen Victoria, who is depicted holding a sceptre and orb. This monument forms a group with the former Victoria Baths on the Promenade.
