Description
This building is a tower of a former windmill, likely dating from the early 19th century and has been altered over time. It is constructed of red brick, which is now mostly covered with render and painted red with three white bands. The windmill has a circular plan and consists of six stages that taper slightly, giving it a bottle-shaped appearance. On the south-west side, there is a three-stage rectangular loading slot, with three small square windows aligned vertically above it, along with some other windows located towards the rear. The original superstructure is missing and has been replaced by a flat modern cap. This windmill is the only surviving example in the town and one of the few remaining in the county.
