Description
Hill House Farmhouse is a 17th-century farmhouse that has been converted into a house. It is constructed from coursed rubble with quoins and features a slate and stone slate roof, complete with gable copings. The building has one chimney on the ridge and another at the right gable.
This typical 17th-century house has a three-bay baffle-entry design and is two stories high. It includes a two-story gabled porch and a two-story gabled rear extension. The porch, located at the junction of the first and second bays, has a slightly arched doorway. Above it, on the first floor, is a four-light double-chamfered stone mullion window with a hoodmould. The porch also contains a later door and a small stairlight on the left side, as well as a similar small window on the right side.
The farmhouse features six additional double-chamfered stone mullion windows with hoodmoulds: two on the ground floor with 2, 5, and 2 lights, and four on the first floor (one of which is missing two mullions). The rear of the house includes a small chamfered window on each floor of the third bay. Inside, there is a stone staircase in the porch, but the rest of the interior has been altered.
