Description

The Statue of Richard Cobden, located on the east side of St Peter's Square, was created in the mid-19th century by George G Adams. This standing statue in bronze commemorates Richard Cobden, who was a Member of Parliament for Stockport from 1841 to 1847. It is positioned on a stone plinth and forms a visual group with the nearby Parish Church of St Peter.
