Description
Rochdale Canal Lock No. 62, also known as Coneygreen Lock, is a lock built between 1794 and 1804, designed by engineer William Jessop. The structure is made of hammer-dressed stone. Although the gates and winding gear are no longer present, the lock remains complete. The retaining walls at the lower end of the lock feature steps for boatmen.
