Description
Number 39 Street is a shop with former accommodation that is now used for storage. It was likely built in the mid-18th century and refurbished in the early 20th century. The building features stone-dressed brick that is mostly covered in roughcast and pargeting, topped with a grey slate roof. It has three storeys and consists of one bay. The shopfront includes a recessed glazed door on the west side, along with a shop window that has one flat-arched pane in the front and one for the doorway. There are timber end-pilasters on stone plinths.
The second and third storeys are roughcast and decorated with pargeting. Each storey has two flush 12-pane sash windows set in eared architraves. The third storey windows have square panes, while the second storey windows feature open pediments that support putti-heads on vases. There is a fruit-and-foliage motif between and on either side of the third storey windows. A segmental modillion pediment is located in front of the parapet. The interior has not been inspected.
