Description

These are a group of late 18th- and early 19th-century terraced cottages, numbers 39 to 43, situated on the south side of Hartburn Village. Number 41 has an attic. The cottages are constructed of brick with stone or stucco lintels. Number 39 has one window, while numbers 41 and 43 each have one window on the first floor and two on the ground floor. A shallow gabled dormer window is present on number 41, featuring a modern casement. The roofs are covered with Marley tiles and include three brick chimneys, raised verges, and decorative brick kneelers. The gable end of number 39 is taller than that of number 37 and features water-tabling. The gable end of numbers 41 and 43 has a stepped chimney stack, and the entrance to number 43 is located on the side.
