Description
The Railway Cottage at Norton West Junction is a mid-19th century building that remains unaltered. It is constructed from pinkish brick and features a slate roof, along with wood bracketed eaves cornice and gutter. The cottage has stone cills beneath 16-pane sash windows that include glazing bars, all set in flush wood architraves. A similar architrave frames the 6-panel door, which is topped by an oblong fanlight. At the rear, there is a small lean-to, and the rear elevation displays 12-pane sash windows along with a ground floor lean-to.
