Description

The Village Store is a shop dating from the early 19th century. It features scored stucco with a pantiled roof and brick chimneys. The building is single storey and has four bays, with raised quoins.

The left bay has three steps leading up to a Victorian panelled door set in a raised surround. Bays two and four contain large, slightly-bowed shop windows with 16 panes, also in raised surrounds. There is a later shop door located between these two bays.

The roof is hipped and has two small ridge stacks. On the right side, there is a 12-pane sash window. The rear span of the building is likely older and was originally part of No. 22.

This building is included for its group value.
