Description

The Bell Tower and remains of the Town Walls are part of the town fortifications. The structure features a four-storeyed octagonal tower, with the upper storeys tapering in radius. The circular base dates from the Edwardian period, while the upper octagonal storeys are from the Elizabethan era. Fragments of the town wall are attached to the tower. The site is scheduled as an ancient monument.
