Description
The outer walls and gate piers to the east of Middridge Grange Farmhouse are likely from the late 17th century to early 18th century. They consist of coursed rubble walls and ashlar piers, enclosing an L-plan area known as The Bull Park. The walls stand between 2.5 and 3.0 metres high, though they have been broken down and partly rebuilt in places. The wall at the south-west corner of the inner garden runs south for 25 metres and features a rebuilt rounded corner. It continues east for 90 metres and then north for 110 metres. There is a fragmentary pair of gate piers, which have chamfered rustication, located 25 metres north of the south-east corner, along with a fragmentary north return section. This structure is included for its group value.
