Description
The former threshing barn and two gingangs, located 40 metres east of Harbour House, are farm buildings that are now used as loose-boxes and for storage. The barn likely dates from the late 18th century, while the gingang to the north is from the early 19th century, and the gingang on the east is dated 1831. The structures are built of coursed and squared rubble with pantiled roofs.
The two-storey, six-bay barn features tooled quoins and has undergone alterations, including several blocked first-floor breathers. It has a steeply-pitched roof with raised verges and reverse-stepped gables. The square-plan gingang to the north has openings on the west and north sides with rectangular piers, some later brick infill, and a hipped roof over the north wall. The similar gingang on the east has a stone plaque dated 1831 on the east wall, blocked openings, a large 20th-century opening in the south wall, and a hipped roof over the east wall. There is also a 20th-century lean-to addition on the north side, which is not of special interest.
Inside the barn, there are five roof trusses with halved-and-pegged principals and double collars that support two tiers of purlins.
