Description
Cambusmore is a house of mixed origins, with a 3-storey, simple Georgian main block likely incorporating older elements. A later 3-storey, 3-window east wing was added, originally harled with margins. A porte cochere tower serves as the entrance, and a west wing is also part of the house. Later alterations include the stripping of harling, the addition of attics to both the main block and the east wing, and a change to a 2-storey and attic arrangement. The original roofs were replaced with red tiles in 1880. The house was designed by Robert Baldie of Glasgow, who submitted various proposals for alterations.
