Description

Gonachan Low Bridge, dated 1750, is a bridge that features one large span with a smaller span at the south end, crossing over the Endrick Water. The structure is built of rubble with dressed stone voussoirs, an intrados, and a triangular cutwater. It has drip-moulds over the arches and a coped parapet. On the west side of the large span, the keystone includes a palmette beneath a dated panel, which is topped by a carved head.
