Description

The Golden Lion Hotel, located at 6-10 King Street in Stirling, was built in 1786 and has undergone alterations in the early 19th century and later. It is a three-storey building with eight windows, featuring an advanced and pedimented section for the third and fourth windows from the left. The exterior is finished in painted rough ashlar, and there is a doorpiece supported by unfluted Greek Doric columns. The right side of the building has late Victorian and modern ground floor shops, and it is topped with a slated roof.
