Description

Lamington Bridge, built in 1835-1836, is a wide double span bridge featuring two shallow arches that each span 53 feet. It has a central pier and cutwater, along with additional rounded cutwaters at the river banks. The bridge has splayed parapets and is constructed from red sandstone rubble, with a banded string course and a broad ashlar coped parapet.
