Description
Fairholm Bridge, built in 1794 by Charles Hamilton of Fairholm, is a road bridge over the River Avon at Fairholm House. It features two segmental arches, each approximately 40 feet wide, with recessed arch rings. The bridge has pointed central cut waters that rise up as pedestrian refuges, along with ramped parapets and a roadway that is about 12 feet wide. The structure is primarily made of ashlar, though there are some brick and concrete repairs.
