Description

The Coach House at Nisbet House dates from the later 18th century and has undergone recent alterations and conversion for domestic use in 1996. It is located to the east of Nisbet House and is a two-storey classical structure in an L-plan layout, with an additional two-level range that encloses three sides of a courtyard. The building is constructed from coursed sandstone rubble with polished ashlar dressings, featuring rusticated quoins and an eaves course. It has timber 12-pane sash and case windows. The L-plan range has a piended roof, while the eastern range has both gabled and piended roofs, all covered in grey slates. There are stone stacks, some of which have been raised in brick.
