Description

Bedrule Bridge is likely from the mid 19th century and features a high single-arched design over the Rule Water. It has a plain string course that defines the edge of the voussoirs and a dentilled string course at the base of the coped parapet. The splayed wing walls step inwards over the arch and are terminated at the outer ends by stumpy piers. The bridge is constructed with polished sandstone ashlar for the arch, parapet, and coping, while the wing walls are made of squared rubble.
