Description
St Fillan's Roman Catholic Church and School in Fourwindings, Houston, is a simple and austere building. The church, which opened on March 7, 1841, features a cement-rendered exterior and a slated roof, along with a gable-belfry. The presbytery is 1.5 storeys high, also cement rendered with a pilastered doorway and a slated roof. The school, built around 1840, with later alterations in 1872 and 1901, is a two-storey structure, similarly cement rendered and slated.
