Description

The Benachally Monument is a solid square dry-stone structure approximately 12 feet high. The upper part of the monument is corbelled out from the lower part, which features a pronounced entasis. There is no inscription on the monument. It was erected in 1830 by Messrs. McIntosh for Sir John Bisset of Riechip. The structure is currently collapsing.
