Description
17 Main Street in Dalry is a later 19th century, two-storey and attic corner building. It is constructed of ashlar, with the ground floor painted. The building features a splayed corner in a shallow recess. There are three bays facing Main Street and two bays facing North Street, with a door located at the angle. To the left, there are two shop windows and two doors, while the right side has two windows, one of which was formerly a door. A continuous cornice runs above the ground floor. The first floor has six sash windows with architraves, one of which is blind. The building is topped with a cornice and blocking course, and it has two piended canted dormers. There is a wallhead stack with a cornice and supporting scrolls on the North Street side, and the roof is slate, piended at the corner.
