Description
8A Hamilton Terrace in Lamlash, Arran, is a late 19th-century terrace consisting of 24 summer houses. These buildings are rectangular in shape, single storey with attics, and are mostly arranged in semi-detached pairs featuring gables at the front. The exterior is covered in vertically boarded timber, although some have been replaced with modern horizontal boarding, and they sit on harled bases with slate roofs. The windows display a variety of styles, including sash and case, horizontally sliding casements, and modern replacements. The doors are located at the side or rear of the houses, and the buildings feature plain bargeboards and harled stacks on the rear gables.
