Description
The Victoria Diamond Jubilee Homes, located at 11 Victoria Road in Elgin, were designed by A and W Reid in 1897. This single-storey terrace consists of eight narrow cottages, each featuring three bays. The cottages are constructed from tooled rubble with tooled ashlar dressings. Each cottage has a central door flanked by tall, narrow bipartite windows with two-pane glazing. Notably, cottages numbered 5 and 15 have gabled centre bays, each adorned with a dated and inscribed plaque. The design includes slightly battered coped end and ridge stacks, and the roofs are covered with slate, accented by decorative red tiled ridges.
