Description
14 Campbell Street in Thurso is a two-storey terrace built around 1830, consisting of three dwellings: Nos 14 and 16, each with three bays, and No 18, which has two bays. The main facade faces southeast, with entrances from Cowie Lane. The buildings are constructed of rubble with tooled rubble dressings and primarily feature two-pane glazing. They have ridge and end stacks, and Nos 14, 16, and 18 have modern tiles.
No 14 has an advanced center bay with a doorway, a blocked center entrance at the rear on Campbell Street, and blind fenestration, along with a blocked entrance to Cowie Lane. No 16 also has an advanced center bay with an entrance and a blocked center entrance that includes a small modern window facing Campbell Street. No 18 features a similar advanced bay on the right side, with a single-storey lean-to covering part of the ground floor, and a modern first-floor window that interrupts the wallhead.
