Heatherstone is a mid-19th century cottage of single-storey and attic design, originally with three bays and a central door. The walls are harled, and later additions include bipartites to the ground floor. Three dormers, each featuring bargeboards, rise through the eaves, with 2-pane glazing in the windows. The property has end chimney stacks and a slate roof. A modern glazed door has been installed.
