West Weaving Wing, Hemp Works South Range, 13 And 15 Marine Terrace, Cromarty

The Hemp Works Managers House, located at 12 and 14 Marine Terrace in Cromarty, dates back to 1773. Originally designed as a quadrangle, it has since been modified to a U-plan, consisting of three two-storey ranges and a detached boat store.

The east range features 25 bays, with a central forestair and a door below. There is a second door in the right range, and one upper window has been converted to a loft opening. Each gable end has two windows on each floor, although three windows at the north gable have been blocked.

The south range contains a central three-bay managers house, which is slightly advanced at both the front and rear. On either side of the managers house are lower five-bay weaving wings, along with a stone boundary wall.

The north range consists of eight bays, with a central forestair. There are two enlarged modern windows in the west gable, and it has two stacks, although the one at the gable is missing.
