91 Wilton Street, Glasgow

This building at 103 Wilton Street in Glasgow dates from around 1860 and is a long, two-storey terrace with a basement and attic, gently stepped along the slope. The buildings numbered 65 to 69 feature a shallow curved elevation, while No 107 is slightly advanced. The exterior is made of yellow sandstone ashlar, channelled at the basement and rusticated at the ground level. All ground floor openings are round-arched, with pilastered reveals and keystones, set within square panels. The doors are located at the top of steps leading over sailing basement areas, and there are blocked doors at Nos 75 and 83.

On the first floor, the window architraves have lugged bases with shouldered lintels and block pediments. A mutual cornice runs along the top, adorned with crowning acroteria. The dormers are set well back into the roof. Most of the roofs are covered with slate, except for Nos 79/81, 83/85, 87/89, 91/93, 95/97, and 105/107, which have concrete tiles. The terrace is complemented by late 19th-century wrought-iron railings from the Glasgow School.
