7 and 9 Granville Street in Glasgow is a classical tenement building dating from around 1858. It is four stories tall and features 50 bays, with nine-bay returns to the east and west. The building is constructed of polished ashlar stone with coupled channelling at the ground floor and has a plinth. The windows are primarily sash and case style, set within architraves, with 6-pane glazing and 4-pane lower sashes.

On the elevation facing Kent Road, there are coupled bay windows that project over the ground floor in the 4th, 5th, 12th, 13th, 20th, 21st, 28th, 29th, and 37th bays. The building has alternating close and main door entrances, a cornice at the ground floor, and block pediments above the first-floor windows. The second-floor windows are corniced, while the third floor features a single window with pilaster mullions. The main cornice and blocking course are present, along with a slate roof and axial stacks.

The elevation to Elderslie Street consists of nine bays arranged in a 6-3 pattern, with the northern bays advanced. The second return bay is blind, and the detailing is similar to that of the Kent Road elevation. The northern bay's first-floor mullions have anta capitals and are tripartite, while the outer bays feature anta mullions at the third floor.

The elevation facing Granville Street mirrors that of Elderslie Street, although the ground floor has been altered.
