Description
66, 68, 70 Nithsdale Road is a three-storey terrace building designed by Robert Turnbull in 1879, showcasing a "Thomsonesque" style. The ground floor features shops, which continue to the west as a single-storey range that includes a circular corner bay topped with a shallow conical slate roof. The terrace has three bays facing Nithsdale Street. It is constructed from stone-cleaned yellow ashlar and features a long row of unmargined single windows arranged in regular bays, with mullioned windows located only at the western end. The second-floor windows are linked by a stepped moulding, and the building includes plate glass sashes, corniced stacks, and wallhead stacks at the western end.
