Description
119 Candleriggs in Glasgow is a long tenement building dating from around 1800, which has been partly converted into flats. The ground floor features modern "neo-Classical" shopfronts. The building is four stories high and has 13 bays arranged in a grouped pattern of 4-3-3-3. The exterior is finished with polished ashlar walling that has been cleaned. All the windows are single light, with sash and case design featuring 12-pane glazing and moulded cills. There is a continuous cill band on the second floor, a moulded eaves cornice, and axial stacks. The rear of the building includes stair turrets topped with modern roofs.
