Description

High Cartyne Church, built between 1931 and 1932 by J Taylor Thomson, is designed in a simplified Romanesque style. It is constructed from New Cumnock brick with ashlar dressings and features slate roofs. The church consists of a nave with a low south aisle facing Carntynehall Road, transepts, and a chancel. The principal west gabled front has shallow projecting outer doors and a three-light window at the gallery level set within a round-arched panel. The east window is leaded.
