26 Cleveden Gardens, Kelvinside, Glasgow

Woodburn, located at 10 Cleveden Gardens in Kelvinside, Glasgow, is a terrace of 10 townhouses built around 1880 in a free classical style. The terrace features simple Greek details and is arranged in five blocks of paired houses, each with its own roof. The standard row house design includes large staircase windows, some of which have stained glass. The exterior is finished in polished ashlar, using polychromatic yellow sandstone with red sandstone detailing, while the side elevation is made of stugged ashlar. Most windows are made of plate glass, and the roofs are covered with piended slate. The building has end and axial chimney stacks, many topped with ornamental fluted pots.

The paired groups consist of four bays with matching two-bay elevations. Each entrance is architraved and flanked by stylised fluted pilaster capitals, with a single light corniced window above. There is a two-storey, four-light bow window that extends from the ground to the first floor, and the second-floor windows are simply detailed. A band cornice and deep bracketed projecting eaves complete the design.

Some of the interiors feature decorative plasterwork and Aesthetic chimneypiece detailing.
