Description
This large and imposing four-storey tenement building, with a basement and attic, features a ten-bay design on a curved plan, along with a five-bay return facing the Botanic Gardens. It is constructed from polished red sandstone. The detailing is finer at Nos 10-12, which includes an arched keyblocked opening on the ground floor and channelled masonry. The building has alternate close and main door entries, and the first and second floor windows are consoled and corniced. There is a cill band and cornice on all floors, and the raised ground floor is accessed by architectural stairways. The windows are sash and case, and there are good cast iron railings present.
