38 Lansdowne Crescent in Glasgow is an astylar terrace building dating from around 1855-1856. It features a five-bay flank facing 388-400 Great Western Road and consists of two storeys, attics, and a basement, with three-storey pavilions at Nos 33-35, 43 Lansdowne Crescent, and 388-400 Great Western Road. The exterior is finished in polished ashlar, with the ground floor channelled and either painted or cleaned.

There are steps leading down to the basement, leading to door pieces that are architraved, consoled, and corniced, each topped with three-pane fanlights. The ground floor windows are arranged in tripartite formations, while the first-floor windows consist of a single light above the door and tripartite windows otherwise, all featuring consoled cornices. The three-storey pavilions have Roman Doric pilastered doorpieces with fanlights, and all windows are single-light. The first-floor windows are architraved, corniced, and consoled, while the second-floor windows are simply architraved. Most sash windows have four-pane glazing. The building has a continuous band course above the ground floor and at the eaves, with an eaves cornice, a pierced balustraded parapet, and a blocking course at the pavilions. The roof is slate, with axial stacks.
