The Hermitage Cottage, located at 1 Milton Road in Pittenweem, is an early 19th-century building. It is a single-storey structure with an attic, featuring two windows and a central door. The exterior is finished in painted stucco with margins and has a pantiled roof. There are also two later tripartite dormers added to the building.
